Hi I'm Stephanie

I'm a teacher, an athlete and avoid big cities. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up on a dairy farm and love being outside. My family was always together farming, hiking, biking, playing sports, and just about anything that kept us outside. I also studied for a few years and started teaching Elemenatry School. After a little while I determined I needed to put my career on hold and serve as a full-time missionary in Melbourne, Australia. It was an amazing experience, but I have returned home to continue teaching Elementary School.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know it is true. For many years I would go to church and not listen, read but not study, and listen but not learn. It wasn't until I was in High School that I really decided I needed to know for myself if what I had been taught was true. After a particularly long day at school, basketball practice, and work on the farm I decided to pick up the Book of Mormon. After skimming a few pages I read a verse and a warm feeling in my heart testified to me that it was true. I knew that I needed to start applying the principles of the the gospel of Jesus Christ. Ever since that day I've done my best to follow and have seen the love of my Saviour each day in my life.

How I live my faith

I begin my mornings with prayer and scripture study. I pray and look for opportunities throughout the day to serve those around me and to comfort those who stand in need of comfort. Each day I strive to become more like my Savior.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

As missionaries we like to talk about the usual stuff, your family, the weather, and what makes you happy. We will also ask you questions about the role that religion has played in your life, and what things you would like to learn from our visit. Typically our visits will begin and end in prayer, are casual, and are based on the questions you might have. Our ultimate goal is to help you gain a greater understanding of Heavenly Father's plan for us as His children. By the end of our visits you will have a greater understanding of Jesus Christ and His love for us as individuals as well as an increased knowledge of how we can follow Him.  Show more Show less
