Hi I'm Phillip.

I'm a father, avid indexer, and a Mormon.

About Me

I find joy in watching movies that uplift and strengthen me and give me hope of this world becoming a better place. These remind me also of the creativity and insight God has given to man as he works out his salvation here on the earth. Technology is also important to me as it shows how God inspires men and women to create things that can influence the world for good and for the increased development of His children. I find happiness in gardening and being outdoors. These give me a chance to see the beauty of what God has created and see his creations grow to their fullest potential. I enjoy much about family history. I am an avid FamilySearch indexer in helping documents get digitized for family history research. I also enjoy identifying information about my own ancestors and putting that on my Family Tree. These efforts help me feel closer to my ancestors and to Jesus Christ who made it possible for me to live with my family forever. I love my wife and our three children. They bring me joy as we learn how to work and play together. They are a reminder to me of the responsibility I have as a husband and father of the stewardship I have taken upon myself to help them reach the potential that our Heavenly Father has in store for them. They also help me to be my better self and to reach for my full potential.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I grew up in the Church, I came to know that the gospel is true and that we are children of a Heavenly Father who loves each of us. The Holy Ghost has whispered to me these truths which have been a strength and a shield as I have lived my life. Because we are children of our Heavenly Father, we have the opportunity to return and live with him after this life--if we do our part. I strive to live the life that will allow me to do that.

How I live my faith

I find great joy in helping the members take steps to be more Christ-like by reading the scriptures, praying, and keeping the commandments.
