Hi I'm Andy

I'm a college student. I love music and the outdoors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Right now I'm in school working on a business degree. I'd like to eventually use my business experience to help create jobs here in the U.S., and eventually in third-world countries. I love tennis and most other sports, snowboarding, hiking, recording music, photography, and just being with family and friends. I served a mission for the LDS church (that may or may not be a redundant detail) in Orlando, Florida, and it has been the biggest life-changing experience of my life up to this point. I wouldn't trade it for anything.

Why I am a Mormon

I have seen the contrast between how your life goes when you living the restored gospel, and how your life goes when you're not. Trying hard to make the teachings of Jesus Christ the center of who I am has brought me so much happiness and stability that you just don't see in the world where people don't understand why we're here. We may seem old fashioned, but when we live our faith, our families stay together. We stay healthy and happy. Most importantly, we know exactly why we're here on this earth, and what we need to do in order to be with our Father in Heaven again. I know that God is mindful of us, and has a plan. It is not chaotic, and it is not based on man's worldly wants or skewed desires. Christ died that we might live forever with Him and have everything He has (think about that last part) if we follow His plan, which has always been taught and kept pure by authorized servants called prophets. I am so grateful that Heavenly Father loves us and wants us to know the plan accurately. That's why he's called prophets throughout time, and that is why we have a prophet and 12 apostles today.

How I live my faith

First, I try to keep myself clean. I do my best to keep things out of my life that are offensive to God. I try to be mindful of the needs of others, and I am hopefully being sensitive to opportunities to help those around me whether with every-day problems, or spiritual problems. I make an effort to help others be mindful of these struggling friends as well, so that we can all lift each other up together. I make sure to read the scriptures and/or teachings of the modern prophets and apostles every day. It's so easy to forget what you know if you don't keep learning and refreshing your mind frequently. That's true with anything, but especially the gospel. It truly does nourish your spirit and help you to make good choices throughout the day.
