Hi I'm Malinda

I love photography, cooking, and laughing. I'm proud to be a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Utah and love it. I love the outdoors, music, my family, and arts and crafts. I have 3 siblings, and I am the second oldest. I want to become a pediatric oncology nurse. I was working at an assisted living facility and loved it. I am no longer going to college or working because I have been called be a full time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and I have been assigned to the Indiana Indianapolis mission. I can't wait to go and serve the Lord.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family who has a strong testimony of the gospel. I grew up listening to my grandfathers stories of faith, love, and charity. My grandpa was one of the first members of the church to become a Chaplin in the air force. He also served 3 missions in Brazil, to share the gospel with others. He also became a professor of religion at Brigham Young University. Both of my parents also served missions. I grew up with a dad that showed me the virtue of being honest and serving others. I've also had frequent talks with my mom about being the best person that I can be through modesty, chastity, and by loving everyone equally. It is because of these examples, and others, that I am the person that I am. They taught me from when I was very young the principles I needed to know who I am, the purpose I have on Earth, and the potential I have. I am so grateful for a loving older brother, Jesus Christ, who atoned for my sins, so I can live with my family again. I believe in an infinite and intimate atonement. Infinite because it is all encompassing because it allows justice to be served and mercy to be extended because he paid the ultimate price. Intimate because I know that if I had been the only person who ever entered this Earth, he still would have atoned for my sins. My family has shared so much knowledge and love with me I want to now go and share that happiness and peace with others by serving a mission.

How I live my faith

I decided to serve a mission to spread the happiness that comes from living the gospel of Jesus Christ. I was called to serve for 18 months and assigned to serve in the Indiana Indianapolis Mission. I am excited to spread the gospel with all of the people here. I am living my faith by devoting the 18 months to serve the Lord. I get to meet new people and help them change their lives so they can come closer to God.
