Hi I'm Blaine Edwards

I grew up in Lehi, UT. I served a mission New York City and am a proud husband and father.

About Me

I was born an raised in Utah. A short time after that I went on my mission to New York City, where I taught to gospel in Spanish. It was an amazing couple of years. I came home and decided to join the military and entered into the United States Navy. I became a Navy Nuke and served on board the USS Norfolk SSN 714. I met my wife while attending Nuclear. After the Navy I went to work for Georgia-Pacific for a couple of years. I am currently attending law school. We are a very happy family, love life and can't wait to be done with Law School.

Why I am a Mormon

I remember it was about my senior year when I really started to enjoy going to church. I felt that there was some yearning that I needed to find out. That carried with me until I had the opportunity to go on a Scouting trip as an adult leader to the Wind Rivers in Wyoming. I decided that I would take a Book of Mormon with me, one that was given me years earlier by an old Bishop and friend Reg Christensen. Over the course of that week, I decided that I would read the entire Book of Mormon, cover to cover. I only made it through Alma. A fire was lit inside of me and I knew that the Book of Mormon was true. I continued to read the Book of Mormon until I completed it. I took the challenge of Moroni to ask God for yourself. I did, and I knew the Book of Mormon was true. The events that followed all helped me to prepare for my mission to New York City. One of the culminating events was entering the temple. When I was done, I knew that I was a child of God and that he loved me. I couldn't help but notice the stars that night and expansion of heaven and yet I knew that Heavenly Father was mindful of me. As I went on my mission I bore my testimony I couldn't help but feel the Spirit and it in turned touched the heart of everyone else there. I was at that time a humble servant of the Lord and an instrument in his work. I served two years and returned home. I met my wife Heather and was married in the Logan Temple. And then multiple years later, we were able to adopt our first son, William. I always had a testimony of eternal families, but I remember as we had our son sealed to us in the temple, I felt close to God than any other time in my life. I got a glimpse of what eternity with our families will be like. Needless to say I am very happy that through all the trials and tribulations in my life I have a family that I will love forever and ever.

How I live my faith

I live as I do because of my family. I want to be the best example for my sons.
