Hi I'm Kathy

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife, mother, sister, aunt and teacher. I love history, especially family history. As much as I love teaching children, my favorite moments in life are spent with my family. We love to travel and do family history work. Exploring the world and finding new information about my ancestry brings me joy. Just reading stories with my little girl reminds me of how much love our Father in Heaven has for each of us. Pure joy is found in the home.

Why I am a Mormon

As a youth I experienced the death of a loved one which left me to wonder about life and life after death. I was raised as a Mormon, but wasn't sure about my feelings until this event. I decided to study the scriptures and pray to know what God wanted for me. Three years later I heard someone talking about Jesus Christ and Joseph Smith and a feeling came over me which gave me complete peace and joy. It was then I knew that my prayers were answered. I have known ever since that I am a member of the true church. I know that I am a daughter of God and that has made all the difference in my life.

How I live my faith

I work with the youth in our area. I also visit members of the church in our area. These members may just want to visit, need a friend, support or extra help. I try to remember that we are all God's children and treat everyone I come in contact with in my entire community with respect and kindness.

Can husband and wife be together forever? Do you believe that families will live together in heaven?

Husband and wife can be together forever. I truly believe in eternal families. This knowledge brings me peace and happiness. I know that God is a very loving father. He wants us to be happy. The family unit is the main source of happiness. So, our Heavenly Father and his son Jesus Christ have made it possible to be together forever as families in heaven. Show more Show less
