Hi I'm Amanda

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Amanda. I'm 24-years-old and married to the love of my life. I'm currenly in college and pursing an associate's degree with a major in psychology. I love writing, knitting, and caring for my chickens - they're so cute!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a convert to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I joined when I was 18. I was first invited to church by a friend to watch him perform a solo in his ward's Easter program. I enjoyed it and hearing people my age talk about their testimonies of Jesus Christ. What first spurred my in the church was the Plan of Salvation that all of our Hevenly Father's children will have the opportunity to learn the gospel and return to Him. I then began to study the gospel and pray for a witness of it's truth. At that time I wasn't a believer in Jesus Christ or even a believer in God. But after praying for some time to know if the gospel was true the holy ghost witnessed to me that asking the wrong question, that I already know the truthfulness of the gospel. I just needed to remember that I knew. I know that we have a loving Father in Heaven and that we are his children. I know that Jesus is the Christ, the Savior of the world and the only begotten son of our Father. I know that he atoned for the sins of all mankid, died, was resurrected by his own power, and that he lives. I know that the gospel is true, and that if your sincerely pray for a knowledge of these things that Lord will reveal the truth to as did for me.

How I live my faith

I try to live my life everyday as the Savior would live it. He is the example that I try to follow. I'm not perfect, but he makes for all I lack. I currenly work with the young women ages 12 to 18. They are absolutely amazing daughters of God. They have taught me so much about being a better person. Serving them makes me want to be better in all things. They certainly are going to be leaders in their future homes, communities, and the world. They are such a pwerful force for good. I truly love them with all of my heart as though they are my own daughters.
