Hi I'm Stephen

I'm a child of God. I play the violin, ukulele, I love skiing and you guessed it... I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently serving a mission in Oklahoma and Northern Texas. I did most of my growing up in Pleasant Grove Utah where I loved spending time with my family and friends. Few things can compare to waking up to a fresh blanket of snow which makes the world look so pure and clean. I enjoy playing sports and doing anything else with others as long as we are all having fun.

Why I am a Mormon

I belong to the church of Jesus Christ because I know He loves me and wants the best for me. That is why He has answered my prayers and blessed me so abundantly. Growing up in Utah made it easy to be a Mormon becase everybody is doing it. It wasn't until I got serious about actually wanting to spend two years of my life sharing this gospel with others that I finally figured it out for myself. My whole life I have been surrounded by people who have been great examples to me in how they lived and what they believed. As I was preparing to serve a mission, I thought about whether or not it was worth it. Many thoughts came to me as I was pondering this question. I knew that if the Book of Mormon was true, then all of it was true. At the same time, I knew that if that book was false, then I would just be wasting two years of my life. I did not want to do that. As I read from the Book of Mormon the Holy Ghost spoke to me with a still small voice. I knew that what I was reading was true and what that meant for me. I needed to share this great blessing with others. Everything that is good, comes from God so when I felt the way I did and still do, I know the Book of Mormon is true. It is God's word and "contains, as does the Bible, the fulness of the Everlasting gospel". These twe records testifying of Jesus Christ help strengthen my testimony every day. Jesus is my Savior and I am eternally greatful for what he has done and still does for me. His church is on the Earth today. I love Him with all of my heart and am thankful that He guided me. It is true, and that is why I am a Mormon!

How I live my faith

I am Serving as a missionary. I do my best to Invite others to come unto Christ by helping them receive the restored gospel.

What is the Law of Chastity?

The law of chastity is a commandment given to help us have the Holy Ghost more abundantly in our lives. We abstain for sexual relations outside of the bonds of marriage and we believe in complete fidelity after marriage. All actions start with thoughts, so we need to keep our thoughts clean. Living the law of chastity gives us more self confidence and strengthens our relationships with others.  Show more Show less
