Hi I'm Julie

Love being wife, mother and grandmother. Love sports, chick flicks, reading, traveling and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am about to be an empty nester. Our family has always been my focus and our children have always been so fun and exciting to raise. Fortunatly I'v been able to work from home most of their lives so it was fantastic. There is a notebook full of things that I said I wanted to try after my children left home. Being a mother was all I ever wanted to be! So as I leaf through the notebook, I find myself looking for things I can do with my kids and grandkids. I love spending as much time with my husband as I can. We took our first week vacation after 25 years together. It was amazing. Now I love to travel and want to see the world with my husband.

Why I am a Mormon

My ancestors sacrificed all they had to be able to practice this religion. I knew I would need to have my own true conversion even though I was privleged to be raised a Mormon. My parents allowed me to attend church with my friends of many different faiths while I was growing up. Each church I attended was nice, but there was something missing from each one. I never felt the warm peace of the Holy Ghost at any of these churches. Each one welcomed me and treated me with kindness, yet there was never a desire to return to them. We moved several times while growing up and as I would walk into my new ward, I felt that same peace each time even with the feelings of awkward newness and not knowing anyone. I love the gospel of Jesus Christ. I am ever grateful for my Savior's atonement and all that it has brought to my life. The strength and power it brings to be able to endure whatever happens in this life. To know that my sins can and are forgiven through Him, if I will truly repent. To be blessed to have the Book of Mormon as another testiment of the life of Jesus Christ increases my faith through learning more about the Savior and learning of the traits I need to become more like Him.

How I live my faith

I have always loved children and have been able to teach young children throughout my life. Teaching small children from the scriptures is one of my favorite things to do. My life has been filled with opportunities to help and serve others, which has blessed my life with happiness.
