Hi I'm Tyler!

I LOVE playing Airsoft. I enjoy playing the guitar. I love talking to people. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Well Hello! My name is Tyler, I am currently serving a mission in California. I am the oldest of 4 children, with 1 sister and 2 brothers. I love to play the guitar, and I'm so glad that I have the opportunity to do it while I'm here in the mission. I also love to Airsoft. I love to spend time with my family and friends, go to movies and listen to music.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I have felt the power of this gospel in my life. Before my mission, I kinda just went to church because my parents said that I should. I never really thought about it. I never read my scriptures, and I hardly ever prayed. That all changed when I went to BYU-Idaho. I began to have more friends that were members of the church, and I started to learn a lot more about what our church actually does. I had the best examples of how to live in a Christ-like way. I began to change. I started actually wanting to go to my church meetings, and getting more involved with the activities of my ward. Than all of my friends started going on missions. They all began to leave, and pretty soon, I was the only one of my group of friends left. I still hadn't even thought about going on a mission. I always thought that it could never happen for me. It was too much time to be away from all of my friends. After a year of school, I went home, and fell back into my old ways, I didn't do any of the things that I should have, but mainly because I didn't have a testimony of the restored gospel. But one day I decided to go in and start the process of my mission papers, I spoke to my bishop, and got my act together. I did what I needed to do, and then I left on February 23rd to go serve my God. Unfortunately, I still hadn't read the Book of Mormon all the way through, and I finally thought that if I'm going to be teaching it, I had better know it. So I read it in 2 weeks in the MTC and I prayed to ask, promising God that if he let me know, I would serve him for the full 2 years. He let me know. And because of that, I know that the Book of Mormon is true, and that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. I know that through the teachings of Jesus Christ we can one day return to live with God again. I know it. I'm here serving and loving every minute of it. I know that I have been changed for the better because of this wonderful gospel.

How I live my faith

I am living my faith, by serving my Lord and Savior with all of my heart. Being a missionary has been the hardest, but most rewarding time of my life. I am so thankful for the opportunity that I have to be here. Right now I am serving as a leader of a group of missionaries, and it has been a challenge to find out how I can help them. I was at first nervous, and overwhelmed, but I prayed more than I ever had before and I found comfort in the scriptures, and I felt the power of God in my life. I now love being able to teach these wonderful missionaries and to work with them to spread the gospel to the amazing people here in California.
