Hi I'm Emily

I grew up in Tucson, Arizona. I have an Associates Degree, I like to share my beliefs with others, and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am an artist who specializes in whimsical illustrative techniques, painting, drawing, sculpting, and poetry. One of my charcoal grid drawings won second place in a congressional art contest "Western" category. I am the oldest daughter of a family of nine. I have an Associates Degree in General Studies and enjoy reading, writing and literature. I enjoy the outdoors, nature in all its glory, animals of all shapes and sizes and I love to see them in their natural habitat. I also love to interact with others of all faiths, colors, creeds and cultures. Variety is the spice of life!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I want to be close to my Father in Heaven, to feel the comfort and love that following the commandments and living what is right gives to me.I testify that the gospel of Jesus Christ is true and that the teachings of the Church have brought me closer to God than I ever thought possible. I rejoice in the greatness of God and in the blessings I receive through my continued faith, repentance of wrongs and commitment to always do my very best.

How I live my faith

I love everyone and enjoy striking up conversations to anyone who is within range of me, like in grocery stores and malls. I had a fun time teaching young children in a nursery position a few years ago and loved to share my enthusiasm for Jesus Christ through song and artistic displays. I also love to serve the Lord as I go about my day to day activities as a missionary in Alabama. I find that if I put the Lord first and his will, that everything else falls together afterwards.

Are Mormons Christians?

Emily
Yes, Mormons are Christians, in the which we follow and believe in Christ and his teachings, accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior and our Redeemer. He is the only perfect man who has ever lived upon this Earth; the living Son of our Father in Heaven. I, as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints pray and worship in His name, even the name of Jesus Christ. He is the center and head of our Church and the Book of Mormon is Another Testament of Jesus Christ that witnesses of His life, His divine calling and His Atonement. And it is only through him that any of us as imperfect mortals can be cleansed from our sins. Show more Show less
