Hi I'm Mark J Lambert Jr

I was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on August 14th, 2010. I have 3 beautiful children.

About Me

I am a sports fanatic... hockey,(Go Rangers!) baseball, football. I enjoy fishing and shooting hoops with my son, Jadan and watching my daughter Makayla grow prettier everyday. I have a second daughter on the way, and my wife and I hope to be sealed to them all very soon. I collect comic books/graphic novels... DC, Marvel... I especially enjoy Superman, Transformers, TMNT and Avengers vs Xmen. I also collect unique Pez dispensers - superheros, US Presidents, novelty ones. I'm also a huge fan of motorcycles, mainly "choppers", and while I don't own one personally, my biggest dream is to build my own chopper. I was born and raised in Adams County, Wisconsin and am a member of the Adams-Friendship Ward.

Why I am a Mormon

I was introduced to the Church by my then girlfriend/now wife in 2010, she encouraged me to implement religion in my life and the lives of my two children (from a previous marriage) to help me cope with some trials I was facing, including sadness over the loss of loved ones. In attending Sacrament Meetings and Investigator/Gospel Principle Classes, I formed a very strong bond with Joseph Smith, as I learned about his life, struggles and sacrifices, (in fact after our marriage, my wife and I toured many historical Joseph Smith sites for our honeymoon.) From the first moment I heard the story of Joseph Smith's first vision I believed it with all my heart. The Sacred Grove is an incredible place and I am eager to return and visit again. I found great peace and fulfillment from having the opportunity to walk where our great prophet once walked, the visit to Carthage Jail was also a very moving moment for me. I connect very deeply with the strong family values taught in the LDS church, they have helped me to become a better father and husband, and a better example to the other members of my family. To me the Gospel principles taught in the LDS church just "felt right" and helped to answer questions I didn't know I had. Before being baptized I had the opportunity to visit the St. Paul (MN) Temple, and while I wasn't allowed past the waiting rooms I knew it was a special place, somewhere I wanted to be and I desperately wanted to go inside! After baptism, I was blessed to actually receive the Aaronic Priesthood inside the temple so I could participate in baptisms for the dead, it was one of the most wonderful moments of my life thus far.

How I live my faith

Right now I am called as a Teacher in the Gospel Principles Class.
