Hi I'm Teresa Smith

My whole life I have had a deep love for others and love to serve those around me. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and mother of 5 children who loves being at home! I grew up in the church and my favorite hobby is basketball! I had the blessed opportunity to play in college and love sharing that talent and gift with others, especially youth and helping them to improve in their skills and succeed. Most of all to feel good about themselves and their worth. My greatest joys in life come from not only my family, but helping and serving those around me. "When we are in the service of our fellowbeings, we are only in the service of our God"

Why I am a Mormon

Well, I was raised that way and in turn gained my own testimony. I always felt it was right and always tried to live the Gospel daily, but my own conversion story came when I was 19 yrs old. It was the morning I was going to the Temple for the first time to take out my endowments and I was very ill and just knew I wasn't going to make it to the Temple that day. As my mother was trying to help me get ready and do my hair, I had a migraine and began throwing up. I said mom, I can't make it today. She looked at me and said "yes you will!" We will have your dad and your soon to be husband, give you a blessing. I said Ok, not really realizing the power of what would happen next. As my whole body was aching from head to toe, I sat on a chair. I testify to you of the power of the priesthood. As my father and fiance placed their hands on my head, I immediately felt the entire sickness leave my body from head to toe. At that moment, the seed that my parents had planted in me as a child, took root and grew by leaps and bounds. I had gained my own testimony and had felt of that power and know without a doubt in my mind, that Heavenly Father loves us and is aware of our needs. I will continue to serve Him all my days and share with others the testimony I have of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I love to serve and help others and my callings in church have most always been serving in young womens and helping with the youth. I am now serving the youth in our stake, which covers 8 wards and 1 branch. I love every minute of it! Being able to get to know them one by one and the amazing strengths they have, is a strength to me. I help organize youth events and functions. I also get to serve the youth in our community with helping coach sports and one on one time helping them work on their shooting and basketball skills. I love to visit teach and talk to many people. I'm a social bug and not afraid to talk to anyone!
