Hi I'm John Bronsell

I'm a husband and father. I love the outdoors and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a pharmacist, at an indepentdent pharmacy that I very much enjoy. A husband of 14 years and counting. A father of 4 children; loud, messy, obnoxious, and adorable children. I love bird hunting and fly fishing, helping people and reading.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Mormon family, grew up attending church meetings, children's activities and youth groups. I grew into my beliefs and tested them during my teen years. I feel comfortable with all the teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and believe it is a place where all truth resides. Paramount to this, I submitted my concerns, my heartfelt questions to the Lord in prayer. He answered me, resolving all my concerns. That is why I'm still a Mormon. It is not always a religion that is easy to live. Much is required in regards to time and effort.

How I live my faith

Every morning we get up as a family, we go through the morning routines of bath and breakfast. At our house, it is a production to get the mail, so the routine may sound simple but it can take a couple of hours. As the hour of school approaches we do hair, make beds, pick up after the explosion that somehow is part of our routine. Pile out the door throwing hats and mittens and lunches in all directions and all the while try to remember to have a family prayer. Our lives revolve around our family. My wife and I serve in the church and hope that our kids see that it is an important aspect of our lives. We eat together, pray together and study the Holy Scriptures together.

What blessings can you receive from reading the Book of Mormon, the Bible, and other scriptures?

John Bronsell
I believe that people everywhere have faith in Jesus Christ. As a Mormon, I believe in Christ, and believe it is to his church that I belong. I love the words of Christ, passed on to us in sacred scriptures. They touch us in ways that other words can not. I believe the Bible contain the words of Christ. I read them; study them and cherish them. I believe that the Book of Mormon contains the words of Christ; that anyone with faith in Him can read the Book of Mormon and discern for themselves if they are or are not His words. The invitation is to all mankind.....read them and see. Show more Show less

What is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' attitude regarding homosexuality and same sex marriage?

John Bronsell
Because emotions and feeling run high in regards to this topic by people of all kinds, I want to emphasize the church's teaching that each person on the earth is a beloved son or daughter of God. We are identified as God's children first and formost and should treat each other accordingly. We believe that the very serious and sacred foundation of all societies is God-sanctioned marriage between man and woman. From this standard, there is no variation in our teaching. We believe that this special covenant between husband, wife and God applies to all, and that no so-called "live in" relationship or dwelling arraingment is acceptable whether heterosexual, homosexual or otherwise. I have close friendships with men and women who consider themselves homosexual. My desire is for the happiness and joy of all my friends and family. I believe that this happiness comes from obedience to the commandments of the Lord. Therefore no behavior or inclination contrary to these commandments will ever result in the long-term joy we all desire. Show more Show less
