Hi I'm Rob Call

I'm a father, a husband, a real estate broker & I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am a father of 7, a real estate broker and I'm married to my best friend.

Why I am a Mormon

In a few words, I am a Mormon because the Lord helps me and my family to be happy. In a world where chaos is now considered the norm, having fundamental, concrete, standards and values is important to me. It seems to me that the general population goes out into the world and put on a happy, everything is great face. However, inside, their life is being turned upside down. Their family is being torn apart. Fathers are leaving their children and wife for a girl friend. The same is true for wives leaving their children and husbands for a new boy friend. Why? Some say they fell out of love. Some say they want excitement and adventure. Some say that they are just tired of the other person. We read in the Bible where Christ says come unto me and I will give you rest. He also says "peace" I give unto you...etc. The Savior also teaches fundamental principles of forgiveness, love thy neighbor, go the extra mile, and treating others as you would have them treat you. Many religions teach these truths in today’s world. I am thankful for that. I believe what the Bible says that every knee shall bow and every tongue confesses that Jesus is the Lord. In Biblical days, the Lord taught his disciples while he was here on the earth. When he was not here on the earth prior and after his birth and resurrection he chose special witnesses to teach his word. Today, the Lord has chosen a special witness who is alive! He lives to tell us what the Lord would have us do to be happy. He is the Lords mouthpiece for us today. Much like Moses who spoke to the Israelites and led them for years and years. Much like Peter in the New Testament who on the day of Pentecost taught the people to repent and be baptized. I am a Mormon because I know that God Lives! He sent his son, Jesus Christ, to rescue me from the evils of today’s world. I know that a Prophet communicates the Lords will to the people of today. I know that I can pray and ask the Lord if he really exists and he has and will continue to answer that question on a very regular basis to me directly. I know that God knows who I am, he loves me, and he loves my family. I know that God hears my prayers and answers them. Sometimes my prayers aren’t answered the way that I want them to be answered, but I know that obedience to Gods will brings enormous blessings. It is truly a blessing to be a disciple of Christ in today’s world. He has knocked on my door figuratively and I have let him in. The Lord has given the world additional scripture that testifies of Him. This scripture is the Book of Mormon, The Doctrine and Covenants, and The Pearl of Great Price. These additional holy writings go hand in hand with the Old and New Testaments. It is my belief that the Lord does not want us to be miserable. He truly wants us to be happy. Through reading his holy words in both the Bible and Book of Mormon, I have learned that simple truth and many more. The Lord wants us to be happy. Being a Mormon helps me to be happy.

How I live my faith

I try to live my life the way Jesus would want me to. I am not perfect by all means, but I do strive to keep the commandments, be fair to my friends and associates, and I try to treat other the way that I would like to be treated. I ask for help from the Lord in prayer each day to help me be a good example for those that watch me. I Love the Lord with all my heart.

What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?

Rob Call
The doctrine of Grace is true. In today’s world there is some confusion about what the doctrine of grace is though. The world says that all you have to do is accept Christ as your Personal Savior and then you are done. You Saved forever. If you go out and break the commandments after your acceptance of Christ, that’s ok...you are still saved. I spoke to an individual who believed that way and asked if I were to accept Christ right now as my Personal Savior and then tonight go out and commit all manor of sins such as burglary, rape, even killing a person, would I still be saved. He said yes. Christ, when he was on the earth said to the people who wanted to stone the girl for committing adultery, he who is without sin cast the first stone. All the people left. Christ then asked the girl, where are your accusers? She said they were gone. He said go and sin no more. The bible says those who say they are without sin are basically liars. No matter what we do, we are human. Humans are naturally sinful. Mormons believe that when people sin, we need to repent and try to keep following Christ in all that we do. If we will continue to live our lives as Christ would have us live, repent of our wrong doings sin, turn the other cheek, which is really hard to do forgive others, keep repenting and try to continue to follow Christ in all that we do, etc. Then, when we stand before our maker in the final judgment day, He will show mercy and grant his grace towards us. We will then hear something like well done thou good a faithful servant come unto my Fathers Mansions. Show more Show less
