Hi I'm Chris

I grew up in a small town in south Texas called Rockport. I am in the Navy. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father of two step sons and a daughter. I am currently serving in the Navy. I enjoy the outdoors and love to camp and hike. My family and I are learning to garden and raise chickens and cows. My wife and I both are converts to the church.

Why I am a Mormon

My wife and I were having a hard time being a family. We were on the verge of divorce and we decided we had to try something different or end up with a failed marriage. My grandfather was a preacher and I remembered the good feelings I had at my grandparents home when I was a child. I wanted that feeling in my own home. We both decided that we would start going to church. My wife and I started looking for a church to help us. She saw an add from the church for a video entitled families are forever. We ordered the video and the missionaries brought it over. Shortly after that my wife and I were baptized. I love the gospel and what it has done for me and my family. It all comes down to my tesimony that the church of Jesus Christ is the true church. To have the spirit touch my heart to know that my savior Jesus Christ loves me. He loves all of us and wants us to learn to be like him. There are many benefits to live the gospel such as having a truely happy home, becoming a great husband and father, learning the attributes of true love, patience, sacrifice, service, and humbleness. I have learned no one is perfect and the atonement is a gift for all to partake of whether they want to accept it or not. For this reason I serve the Lord and serve in his church and always will.

How I live my faith

I do my best to be the best husband and father I possible can. I support and sustain the church and volunteer in any capacity that I can. Recently I have collected fire wood to give to families that will need it for the winter. I currently teach high school age kids each morning before school parts of the gospel.
