Hi I'm Jennifer

I grew up in Raleigh, NC. I am a home schooling mom of two. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy reading, crocheting, cooking, taking care of the animals (the ones my husband will let me have ;) ), seeking out and using homeopathic remedies to keep my two children and our 3 "fur babies" healthy and some what sane. :-) I love living as close to the earth as possible.

Why I am a Mormon

Even though I was raised in this Church, I had to be converted as well. At 24 and with 2 kids, I had not read the entire Book of Mormon until members of the church were challenged to read it completely through. As I read the book, my heart was touched and I knew, as I know now, herein is truth. It occurred to me that God is OUR FATHER. Being a mom, I understand a parent's love. I would not leave my kids without nourishment or with a "to do" list that was impossible for them to accomplish. Like wise, I am sure Heavenly Father would not leave us here without a way to strengthen our spirits and the guidance to come into his presence. It is my fervent belief that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints contains the fullness of the truths as they exist on earth today. I know that my life has been blessed by the Gospel and happiness has come with this knowledge. I am grateful for the grace I receive from the Saviors atonement. Which is given freely to all whom accept him and sincerely repent their sins. I am grateful for the courage of Joseph Smith to seek and follow the instruction of the Lord in his youth. I know that we have scriptures to nourish us while we are here and a living prophet to guide us. That Heavenly Father, being a parent, wishes all my children would come home to him. This is my testimony and I say these thing in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

How I live my faith

I hope and pray that I live my faith in such a way that every one who meets me knows I am a Christian. Through daily scripture study, prayer and seeking to help others, I am learning how to love everyone I come in contact with and not past that quick judgment that is common to human nature. I am not perfect at all! Even though I can never repay Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ for the atonement and their love for me, I want to live in a way that follows the example of Christ, to show my love and appreciation for Him.
