Hi I'm Mylah

I grew up in Southern California. I am a freedom fighter for victims of human trafficking. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an International Non-Profit Professional, a Mom to three vivacious little women and a Freedom Fighter who is passionate about protecting women's rights in developing nations. I believe it is important to shed light in dark places, empower those without a voice and give audience to those who need to be heard.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up a devout Jehovah's Witness but decided in my early twenties to expand my knowledge and learn about what others churches taught. I have visited many churches but once I investigated the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints it was like I returned home. I never thought the Mormon church would be for me because I precieved it as a church that didn't accept African Americans. When I was personally embraced by the church in such a warm manner and I learned that the negative things I thought about the church were not true I wanted to be a member. Learning I am a child of our father in heaven was a remarkable discovery that lead to many changes in the way I think, feel and behave. I developed a new respect for myself and others.

How I live my faith

My faith is reflected in every facet of my life. From the choices I make on a daily basis to the way I relate with others is all influened by my faith. Learning to serve my fellowman and following the example of our Savior is paramount in my daily life.
