Hi I'm Randy Stanger

I work for a commercial construction company as a project manager.

About Me

In high school I played soccer and football. My hobbies consist of anything that can be done outside, hiking, fishing, camping etc. I enjoy anything that involves a water, wake boarding, skim boarding, swimming and scuba diving.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have prayed and received an answer that this church is true. The priesthood or power of Jesus Christ has been restored. The church has provided me with answers to the following questions where did we come from? Why are we here? Where are we going after this life? Through the power of the priesthood families are not separated by death but can continue into the eternities.

How I live my faith

Church is not just something to do on Sunday but it is lifestyle. I try to follow the teachings and example set by the master teacher Jesus Christ by being a friend to the friendless and being honest in my dealings with those I come in contact with. Currently I serve and work with the young men in my church ages 16-19. We have weekly activities that help promote friendships and develop good personal character. On Sunday we instruct and teach each other principles of Faith, repentance and Christ like love.

What is the Book of Mormon?

Randy Stanger
The Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ. We believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly we also believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God. Our invitation is to all men, women and children, open your hearts and prayerfully read the Book of Mormon and pray to know whether it is true. I know if you pray and read from its pages you will come to know Jesus Christ and your life will be blessed. Show more Show less

To what do you attribute the growth of the Church?

Randy Stanger
From age 19 until I was 21 I had the privilege and opportunity to serve as a full time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Because of the two years that I spent in Portugal I can honestly say that the thousands of missionaries that are currently serving throughout the world are not the secret to growth of the Church. This church is growing and has grown because this is truly the Church of Jesus Christ restored upon the earth in these latter days. While on my mission, I had the opportunity to meet people from all walks of life. I met a man who didn't have a job, smoked a pack a day and was heavily addicted to pornography. We talked of the miracle of Christ's life and the power of his loving sacrifice for us (Alma 7: 11-12). We returned to his house a short week later and he quit smoking, and had a job. We as missionaries had nothing to do with the miraculous transformation in this man's life. Only the Holy Ghost can penetrate the heart and bring people to Christ. That is the secret to the growth of the Church. We invite everyone to read and pray about the Book of Mormon. As people seek truth by faith they will be lead to the only place that they can truly be saved. Show more Show less
