Hi I'm Kevan

I live in idaho and yes, I love potatoes.

About Me

I am a manager at a small manufacturing corporation. I like spending my spare time on the golf course. I have been a member of the church for my whole life. I can't imagine where I would be without its guiding light in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a part member family. My mother went to great lengths to see that we were active in the church programs. Through those experiences and by personal study and pondering throughout my life about the priciples of the gospel I have gained a testimony of the truthfulness of gospel.

How I live my faith

Serving in the church has brought me closer to knowing my Father in Heaven. Many of the things I have learned about Him, living life, and preparing myself for life after mortality have come through those service opportunities. I am striving to be an example of the believers by living the principles of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Does The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints endorse political parties?

Kevan
The Mormon Church does not encourage or require its members to endorse any particular political party. We are encouraged to be active participants in local, state and national elections and issues and seek to elect officials and back issues that reflect our personal views. I have personally voted for candidates in different politcal parties depending on how their views reflect mine. Show more Show less

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Kevan
I have been a member of the church my entire life and consider myself actively engaged in all that it represents. I have served in substantial leadership positions that have placed me in contact with leaders of the church at many levels. I have never felt myself inclined to, nor have I ever heard a church leader in public or private, "worship" Joseph Smith as though he were more than a man. Joseph Smith holds a promenant position in the history of the church as God's latter day prophet through whom many of the truths of the gospel that were lost during the Dark Ages were restored. He is honored a Noah, Moses or any of the other great prophets of their times. As a Mormon I revere the work that he accomplished but in no way worship him. My worship is toward God my Heavenly Father Whom I thank for all blessings and seek help from in all my trials. Show more Show less
