Hi I'm Janet

My favorite time is with my family. We have four children and five grandchildren. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been a para-educator in the local school district for the past 19 years. I have been married for 34 years. I met my husband when he moved next door to me when we were much younger. We have four children, three boys and one girl, and five grandchildren, the last one which was born Feb. 27, 2011. I like to spend time with my family. We like to go camping, hunting, fishing, and to attend family reunions. I like to sew, cook, craft, and to draw inside plans of houses. I am learning how to use a camera and I enjoying capturing life.

Why I am a Mormon

I have had the opportunity of being raised as a Mormon all my life. I was taught by my parents not only by word but by example. They taught me to be kind, honest, and to serve others.   I recently had a grandchild return to our Heavenly Father. She was just shy of being two months old. My heart broke not only to know that for now I can not see her sweet face, read her a story but to see the heart break of my sweet children as they go along life without their sweet little girl. I know that God lives. I know that we can be together again and see our sweet grandchild again and see all those that have gone on before us. What a sweet reunion that will be. I know that her parents and we, as grandparents, we will be able to raise her and love her and teach her the things that parents and grandparents need to do. That if we do all that we know is right and listen to the Holy Ghost and learn the teachings of our Father in Heaven and study the teachings of Jesus Christ,as written in the Book of Mormon that we can live them them and we can have an eternal family. What a blessing and thrill it will be to be all together again.

How I live my faith

I show my belief in God by attending church on Sunday. I read my scripture daily and pray to our Heavenly Father morning and night but it seems like I am always thanking my Heavenly Father for my many blessings. I do these things because I feel better when I do and I know the gospel is true. I have had the opportunity to teach the young, the youth and adults. I am currently teaching an adult class on Temple and Family History. I am also helping the teachers of the nursery children 18 months to 3 years old in our area.
