Hi I'm Lynette

I'm a wife, a mother of five, a grandmother of 2, a bookkeeper, a volleyball player and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I'm happily married and a mother of five and a grandmother of two. I love being a mother and grandmother! I have served in the church in many ways over the years. I've taught children, youth, and adults. I love teaching. Right now I play the piano for the children and the Organ for the adults while they sing beautiful and meaningful music. I love homemaking and especially decorating and improving my home. I enjoy working in my yard and growing vegetables too. My husband and I own a business and I do the bookkeeping. During the winter months I play city league volleyball with a great team that have become good friends over the years. I work at the Provo LDS Temple two days a week. I thoroughly enjoy working at the Temple. It is a privilege to serve and help the workers and patrons there.

Why I am a Mormon

First of all I am a Mormon because I was born into a Mormon family. Over the years I have grown to love the Mormon religion. It gives me direction as I live my life here on earth. It teaches principles that are good and true. It helps me to be a better wife, mother, sister, daughter, friend, and person. I'm a Mormon because it brings so much happiness to my life and to the lives of my family.

How I live my faith

I feel that my religion is my life. It has taught me so much over the years. I was still a teenager when I was asked to teach children in the church. I was still young when I directed children in singing wonderful songs having to do with the Mormon faith. After I was married I continued to teach and to serve in our church. There were times I was asked to lead the youth in their programs and even lead the adult women in their programs. Along with currently playing the piano for the children, I also have a partner that will go with me once a month to visit three women in our neighborhood. It's nice to go to these women's homes and to sit down each month and have a good visit. At home I live my faith by keeping a wholesome atmosphere in our home. We avoid conflict and enjoy praying together and having a family night once a week. I also like to keep a clean home that is organized which brings a sense of peace and order. My faith helps me to be a better wife, mother and person. It's a great tool in raising children. As my children were growing up and would have questions about life and and whatever was challenging them, I would have the wonderful gospel teachings and principals to help answer questions and bring comfort to them.

To what do you attribute the growth of the Church?

Lynette
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is based on eternal truths. In the world we live in today there is so much confusion, the LDS faith minimizes that confusion. The eternal truths that I mentioned above answer the questions that so many of us have and brings peace and comfort. In a world that has so much sadness and wickedness, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints brings hope and understanding. It brings a purpose, and meaning, direction and even responsibilities. Most of all, this Gospel blesses lives with love, and happiness. Show more Show less
