Hi I'm Brian

I'm a skimboarder, a photagrapher, a student and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently twenty two years old and grew up in Southern California. My family all still lives there. I am curently in college trying to double major in economics and advertising. I enjoy photography, especially taking macro shots of nature. I enjoy spending time at the beach and skimboarding. I have 5 younger siblings and enjoy spending time with them. My family really is the most important thing in the world to me.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church but that isn't why I am a member. Growing up it was expected that we went to church and I was fine with that. I didn't always enjoy going to church but it has come to mean a lot to me today. When I left to go to college I needed to decide if the church was true or not. It had always felt right, and it seemed to bless my family a lot but I wanted to know for sure if it was right. So I kept going to church and studied more than I had before from the scriptures. I also spent a lot of time praying, asking God if this was the right thing. There was no one instant where I knew, no huge thing that stands out in my mind, it has just been little blessings and answers I have seen in my life that have led me to know that this is the truth.

How I live my faith

I spent two years serving as a full time missionary for the church. Every day I was able to go out and teach people about Jesus Christ and his sacred role in their lives. Every day is an opportunity to serve others and do the will of God.

What do Mormons believe about family?

We believe that families can be together forever. One of the greatest blessings of the family is that children can be raised in a place of love where they are taught correct principles. This has been one of the greatest blessings for me because my parents showed me the right way to go. I didn't always make the right choices but they have helped and continue to help me overcome my weaknesses. Though the ideal family doesn't always exist, principles that Jesus Christ taught can bless and strengthen any family regadless of the position they are in. My family has been an amazing blessing in my life. I have enjoyed many laughs with my family and enjoy spending time with them. We certainly aren't perfect but because we live principles of the gospel we are able to overcome our differences and forgive one another our mistakes. I know the teachings of Jesus Christ can bless and strengthen any family. Show more Show less
