Hi I'm Natalie

I love numbers, I'm a cancer survivor, I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I grew up in a family with strong values and I'm thankful for the things that my parents taught me as a child. I am a cancer survivor and I leaned on my savior to get me through that hard time. I am currently serving a mission because I want to share what I have with people who don't have that faith. I love photography, I'm crazy about baking even though I'm not very good at it. I love bike riding even though I'm not very good at that either. I think I love the things in my life that give me challenges because I love having the opportunity to grow from those experiences.

Why I am a Mormon

I know that the fulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ was restored through a modern prophet. I am a Mormon because I know that this church has the fulness of that gospel. When I read the Book of Mormon as a teenager I felt so strongly in my heart that it was true. This answer didn't come simply from reading the Book of Mormon but from a true and sincere desire to know if it was true. I remember kneeling down and asking my Father in Heaven if the Book really was true and I recieved a soft peaceful answer that it was. I know that the Book of Mormon helps us have stronger faith in the Savior Jesus Christ. I know that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world. Being a Mormon has helped me understand my purpose in life.

How I live my faith

Right now I am a missionary serving in Portland Oregon. I chose to serve a mission because this gospel has brought so much peace and comfort into my life and I want everyone to be able to have this in their lives. This message changes lives, it changed mine, and it can change yours.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

I know that God revealed things to prophets in the Old Testament because he loved his children then. He still loves his children now and he still speaks to a prophet to give us guidance and direction. I know that our current prophet it President Thomas S. Monson. Each time I hear him speak I feel in my heart that the things he tells us are from God. Show more Show less

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

While we admire Joseph Smith for his courage and work in restoring the gospel we do not worship him. We Worship God the Eternal Father, and His son Jesus Christ. We know that they are the head of our church and we strive to center our lives on Jesus Christ and His teachings. Show more Show less

Are Mormons Christians?

The name Christian came from the New Testament. People called themselves Christians because they believed in Jesus Christ. As Mormons we worship and follow Jesus Christ. Essentially we are Christians. I think that today people tend to think of christian as a specific religion or certain group of people. Anyone who believes in Jesus Christ and Worships him is a Christian. Show more Show less
