Hi I'm Laci Roades!

I'm a full-time Missionary, Climbing extraordinaire, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a very energetic, fun person. I love rock climbing, running, swimming, tumbling, mixed martial arts, and anything outdoors. I love to sing, bowl, and read in my spare time. I am a full time college student, majoring in exercise science. I currently work full time with home medical equipment and I have no idea what I want to do with my degree. I have 5 brothers and sisters and enjoy all types of music and cheesecake.

Why I am a Mormon

I have a testimony that if you "seek ye first the kingdom of god and his righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you". If you truly want to be happy, the gospel of Jesus Christ is the only answer. It brings you happiness, allows you to overcome any obstacle or challenge throughout your life, and helps you to become the best person you can be.

How I live my faith

I am very active in my Singles group. I conduct music during sacrament meetins. I am a visiting teacher to two women. I help encourage nonmembers, and inactive members to come have fun at random activities we organize. I live my faith by being as happy and optamistic about each day as I can. Being nonjudgemental, accepting, and being able to relate to all different backgrounds makes me happy to meet new people, and show them that living the gospel of the church allows you to have a blast without feeling bad, or empty.

What are Mormon Temples used for?

Laci Roades!
Temples are houses of the Lord, the most sacred structures on the earth. Anciently, the Lord directed solomon to build a temple (1 chronicles 28:1-6). This temple was a place where god could dwell, was a place of prayer, was a place of sacrifice and was a place where the principle and convenant of sacrifice was dundamental to worship. At the time of the restoration, the lord commanded joseph smith to once again build temples on the earth. Like ancient temples, today's temples are also sacred places where god may dwell. In temples, church members participate in ordinances designed to unite their families together forever and help them to return to God. In the temple, members: -learn eternal truths. -recieve sacred ordinances, including those that bind husband and wife together for eternity, as we all join children and parents.( malachi 4:5-6) -provide ordinances such as baptism for those who have died without the opportunity to recieve the gospel of Jesus Christ (1 corinth. 15:29)(1 peter 4:6) Show more Show less
