Hi I'm Tania

I Love God, my family, my friends, school, and soccer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a daughter, a granddaughter, a sister, a cousin, an aunt, a friend, or just a good person to talk to. I LOVE having family time. My family is one of the greatest gifts from God. I LOVE to have friends and being able to just take pictures, play soccer, go to school and drive. I LOVE to learn new things and new talents. I LOVE to feel LOVED and I know I am.

Why I am a Mormon

I knew from very young age that God existed (that's what my parents told me, even though they never took me to church). I would attend church with my next door neighbor, with grandma, and with friends (all different denominations). So, I knew contradictory statements were everywhere. As I grew older, my priority was just to have a good life. And deep inside I knew and felt that only with God I could obtain that. So, in my teenage years, I attended church once in a while and then when I was 14 I completely stopped going. Now, I just wanted to "enjoy" life, even though I could feel that something was missing because I wasn't completely happy, there was a hole in my heart and nothing could fill it. Until my late nineteens, two LDS missionaries came to my house. EIder Hanks and Shweppee, and around 2-3 weeks after Elder Edwards. When I started talking to them, I could see a light in their eyes, and I could feel how much they loved God and Jesus Christ, that's one of the very first things I noticed and why I kept listening. I just felt in peace around them, I knew they had something very important to share, otherwise they wouldn't be "wasting" their time talking to people. They shared about the Book of Mormon and the restoration of the gospel, they said "this is the only true church on earth" and that I could pray and ask Heavenly Father for a confirmation. From that moment I needed to know if that was true. I prayed the first time and I felt "something" in my heart, then the missionaries helped me to recognize that it was the Spirit and even though I had gotten an answer I wasn't sure if I wanted to get baptized. But I fasted with them and the answer came so strong as I prayed with them. I decided to get baptized and that decision has changed my whole life. I know without a doubt that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the only true church of God on earth, and that answer came from God. And you too can know if you ask Him with a sincere heart.

How I live my faith

My purpose is to know my Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost better each day. That comes through prayer in order to know what Heacenly Father wants me to say and do, reading the scriptures so that I can know his expectations of me, attending church and serving there, so I can help to keep building his kingdom. Striving to do what is right at all times and in all places. Serving my family, friends and everyone around me. Loving even when is hard to love and love myself in order to recognize my weaknesses, so that I can change and repent. And just striving to become what Heavenly Father wants me to become.
