Hi I'm Taylor

I'm an engineer. I'm a father. I like Polyester. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I like to have a great time. I love sledding, skiing, water skiing, frisbee, hiking, anything really. I love people, and I love being outdoors. I also love all kinds of people, I love seeing the variety of things people wear and the way they act - like gothic or emo or punk hipsters. I like having a wide variety of friends. I prefer to wear vintage 70's clothing and act silly. My friends know that I have a nerdy side. I would call it my inner geek, but it isn't very well hidden, so I guess it would be better referred to as my outer geek. I dabble with modifying my android phone, programming, and playing with robotics and microcontrollers. I also prefer to learn to fix my car, sprinklers, and other home repairs rather than hiring a professional. I also love video games, but between being a dad, husband, and homeowner, I don't get a lot of time to play.

Why I am a Mormon

I decided to be a Mormon because I felt answers to my prayers and that God specifically told me that 1. He exists. 2. He loves me. 3. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is His church, being led by His prophet. 4. The doctrines of this church are true.

How I live my faith

I try to be kind to and love people, even those I don't know. I try to serve them and care for them and put their needs before my own. This can be really hard sometimes, because I can be selfish, but my religion helps me know that I need to be better, and that I can be better. To help me with this, I attend church weekly and also serve in the church. I plan lessons and activities for the youth that are fun and teach them to be kind, to avoid self-destructive habits, to serve, to be involved, and to develop a personal relationship with their Father in Heaven.
