Hi I'm Laura

I work full time. I love superheros. I love to create music. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am working on paying off my student loans and then going to go back to school. I want to become an elementary teacher so I can help children get a better head start and have a better chance and becoming successful. I play the piano, flute, viola and sing. I love music! I enjoy reading, drawing and practicing Yoga. Singing is one of my favorite pass time, along with talking with my mom and walking to work.

Why I am a Mormon

After I got out of high school, I didn't know what I believed. I had always been a Mormon, I had had a testimony of the gosple, but somehow it was hiding from me. I wanted to believe. Then one day I prayed to my Heavenly Father. I asked him if the church was true. His answer was not what I was expecting. "You already know it is true." And I did. I saw and see examples of the truthfulness of the gospel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints every day. I see it all around me and every time I realize what I am seeing, the Holy Ghost confirms that what I am seeing is true. I continue to have the gospel confirmed to me through the little things that happen every day. My testimony continues to grow, day by day.

How I live my faith

In my ward, I work with the 10-11 year old girls and plan activities for them to do every two weeks. I haven't been doing it for very long but we are having a BLAST! I love meeting the new people in my ward and making friends with as many people as I can. I go to institute every week and study my scriptures every day. I love to help my family out and lift up the people around me by complimenting them honestly.

Do Mormons regard the Bible as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Laura
As Mormons, we believe the Bible to be the word of God, as far as it is translated correctly. We love and study the Bible along side the Book of Mormon for a better understanding of what God wants us to know. We believe the Bible and the Book of Mormon to testify of Christ and his mission on this earth. Show more Show less
