Hi I'm Paulette

i am a daughter. sister. friend. confidant. idealist. romantic. motivationalist. swimmer. creative. i AM mormon!

About Me

i really, really, really, enjoy good food. anything with onions and garlic gets my wheels a spinnin'! obviously mints are a really huge part of my diet. (lol) i love moroccan, mexican, and southern cuisine. orchids and tulips make me smile. (really big!) common is by far my most favorite performer in the galaxy. helping others brings me joy. life is constantly evolving. i am glad i am a part of it! human behavior intrigues me. whether i'm in a restaurant, at an event, or in the mall, i love studying behavior. culture makes me a better person. my family is the best. i love re-discovering me and becoming the woman my Heavenly Father created me to be. public/motivational speaking are my favorite pastimes. my ultimate dream/goal in life is to have my own talk show and inspire and enlighten the masses. i recently learned how to swim and the water has become my second home. HGTV and the Food Network are my favorite stations, and Criminal Minds, SMASH, and Arthur (the ardvark) are some of my most favorite TV shows. there's so much more, but i don't want to bore. :- )

Why I am a Mormon

i joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because of my mother's example. certainly moms always know what's best, right? throughout my teenage years and into my early 20s, i lived (and thrived) off my mom's testimony. it wasn't until college that i received a definitive witness that 1) Jesus Christ is the Son of God, 2) i am a Divine daughter of my Heavenly Father, and 3) the fullness of the gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored to the earth. because of that experience, i knew then, as i know now, that the same church that Jesus Christ established when He was on the earth, was restored to the earth once more through the Prophet Joseph Smith (such an amazing story of faith). this fullness is found in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. looking back, i realize that my mom's "example" was the best thing that could have happened to and for me. the clarity the gospel brings about the purpose and meaning of life has strengthened my testimony about His infinite love for me, and the peace and joy i have because of it are priceless. i know this church is led and guided by Jesus Christ and that the Lord has called a prophet to guide His church and the world for those who choose to listen. i am happy! i am home!

How I live my faith

i love the opportunities i have to serve in the church. many times i feel completely unqualified, but i find it amazing, how, with each opportunity, my feelings of inadequacy turn into strengths that i didn't know i had. it's true that the Lord qualifies those He calls. over the years i've worked with the children, youth, and women of the church. i'm currently serving in the presidency for the women's group in my region. it's been most fun traveling to the various units meeting women that i never knew existed. i also have the awesome opportunity to brainstorm with such amazing women to plan and execute life-changing activities for the women in my region. it's such an awesome thing to engage in prayerful planning, and witness first-hand, the seamless execution of an event that has been inspired by the Holy Spirit. pure AWEsomeness!!!! each of these experiences have been tremendous growth, learning, and service opportunities. they have strengthened and transformed my life.
