Hi I'm Diane

I live in a tiny little town in Northwestern Utah. We own a cattle ranch and I teach special education. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

At a very early age, I knew that I had a Heavenly Father that loved me. I lucked out with parents who lived the gospel, served and sacrificed their time and talents. I was raised in Salt Lake City , but married a cattle rancher in a tiny town in Northwestern Utah. I have four children and two grandchildren. My husband and I and in-laws run a guest ranch along with a cattle ranch. We often have an opportunity to share our beliefs about the gospel because of the guest ranch. We keep a supply of books of Mormon around to give to those who are interested. We hold many jobs in our community and church. There are so few people that it takes everyone working to keep things running in our little town.

Why I am a Mormon

At one point in my life I started questioning whether the church was true. I started asking the Lord to let me know if the Church was true. Every time I asked the feeling came to me, "You Already Know!" I still wasn't satisfied. I started praying that I would be let to the truth. Everyday I prayed to be lead and frequently I would receive promptings from the Holy Ghost of a truth. Each time I felt the promptings I would ponder about the truth that was being manifested to me. It was always something that was taught in the teachings of our church. Since then I have tested promises that the prophets have told us to do. Each time I commit to living a principle the Church teaches I find blessing flow to me from living the principle. I am a Mormon because it blesses my life and the lives of those around me. It teaches me the way to get back into the presence of my Heavenly Father and my Savior. I love the gospel and feel sad when my friends and loved ones chose to separate themselves from the gospel. In the book of Matthew in the New Testament it says that in the last days that even some of the very elect will be led astray. It's my hope that my family and friends will hold fast to the teaching of the gospel and stay on that straight path which leads back to the presence of our Father in Heaven.

How I live my faith

It's not always easy. Having family night, scripture study with the family, and family prayers is challenging at my house. Many times I'm met with conflict when we try to fulfill these commitments. Sometimes members of my family will come to scripture study and won't open their books. I know there have been many times when they weren't listening but I know that I can say I've done my best to do these activities. Right now we have two sons on missions in the United States. It's been a blessing. I attribute having them on missions from not giving up trying to do activities that the prophets and leaders asked us to.
