Hi I'm Bonnie

I grew up in a small community. I love the outdoors, road trips, and my family. I am a Mormon.

About Me

My husband and I are parents of seven children. We live on a small family farm, and I teach 3rd and 4th grade in our K-12 school. I enjoy reading, sewing, handwork, yard work and doing things with our family. We especially enjoy camping.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church, but at some point I gained my own individual testimony that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is true. It helps me in raising my family. It gives me countless opportunities to serve others, and living its principles and doctrines bring me happiness and peace of mind. I'm so grateful that the prophet Joseph Smith followed his simple faith to pray and consequently restored Christ's Church in its fullness to the earth. I know the Book of Mormon is true, and reading it helps me face the challenges in my life. I know God lives and has a plan for me. Most of all I have a testimony that Jesus is the son of God, that he lives and set the perfect example for all of us to follow, and that His atonement offers me the opportunity to repent and live again with Him and my immediate and extended family.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith by studying the scriptures and other church magazines and manuals. I pray for wisdom and strength to do those things which I learn. I answer callings in the church and try to fulfill them to the best of my ability. I serve members of my ward by visiting, bringing meals, calling about concerns, helping with funerals, and playing the piano and organ at church meetings. I serve others by participating in humanitarian projects organized in our ward, and by paying tithes and offerings. I have five sons who have or are serving missions for the church. I like to hope that their testimonies began in our home as we attended church as a family, held Family Home Evenings, held gospel discussions, and worked and played together. This church is a way of life daily for me.
