Hi I'm Annette

I live in Utah and I like to sew, cook, draw, paint, play the piano, craft, entertain and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am a mother of 5 wonderful children and 6 beautiful grandchildren. I was born in Phoenix Arizona but moved here to Utah right after I was baptized at age 8. I have been a Mormon all my life and feel so blessed to have the church to guide me and my family each day. My husband and I both went to BYU but met much earlier than that in Jr. High School. After his mission we were married 3 months later in the Temple and have been married for 33 years. Our 2nd daughter is expecting our 7th grand baby. I have had many interests through out my life so far...Gymnastics, tole painting, sewing, cooking, interior design, designing homes, wedding planning, cake decorating, stain glass, drawing, photoshoping, and playing hymns on the piano. Of course, my greatest interest is my grandchildren and family. They are what makes me happy. I work part time right now for an orthodontist as a financial coordinator. My ward is great and feel so blessed to know each person that live around me. I love animals and have 2 outside dogs that like to hunt with my husband. My father is the curator of a museum that has hands on printing presses that show how the Bible and the Book of Mormon was printed. It's a fabulous family night activity. Why I am a Mormon

Why I am a Mormon is because I was baptised when I was 8 years old and really at that time didn't know very much about the church. I of course went to Primary, Young Women and Church every week but now that I'm older I feel like the Lord has carried me through so much and I have a greater understanding of the plan of salvation. I can't imagine life any other way. I know I have a living prophet that would never lead us astray and that's security. I have faith and rely on the Lord in all I do and have a strong testimony of the truthfulness of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. The Book of Mormon has to be read and studied by everyone. If you do this with an open heart, you will know too that it's true and is a 2nd witness of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I feel his spirit every day and keep him close through study of the scriptures and prayer. I love his inspired Temples that are located throughout the world and know that the work done in them is necessary and very important. I am grateful that we can do this work for our loved ones who have passed on to the next life. I love music and feel the spirit each week as I lead in Sacrament Meeting and sing in the choir too. The Gospel is my life and I'm so proud and happy to be a Mormon! I am a Mormon because it's a great way of life and the only way to safely return to our Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

The best way to answer this question is that the Mormon Church provides you with so many wonderful opportunities to give service to people. Not just in our community but everyone. I pray for those less fortunate and have a spiritual gift of love for all mankind. I read my scriptures, attend church and the temple and give service to those in need. I have a happy positive attitude about life and try to share that with everyone I meet.

What do Mormons believe about Jesus Christ? Do Mormons believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God?

Annette
I think out of all the questions asked about the Mormon Church, this one puzzles me the most. We are a church built on Jesus Christ and around his ministry and resurrection. There is no question in my mind that he is the Son of God.  He came to earth for one purpose only and that was to redeem us from the fall of Adam and oh how grateful I am that he was willing to do that for me. It is very personal and I feel so indebted to him. In the song "This is the Christ" by James E. Faust, I tear up when I sing "How many drops of blood were spilled for me". I hope not many. I would feel so bad. He is my redeemer and I will be ever grateful for that great sacrifice of love. Show more Show less
