Hi I'm Travis

I like to snowboard, wakeboard, motorcycle, play the guitar and hang with my family, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Right now I am serving a mission in the Ohio Cleveland mission. After my mission I plan on going home and working at an amusment park in my city called Lagoon. Before my mission, I worked there for four years and have had the opportunity to meet many awesome people from many different parts of the world. I also plan on going to college and majoring in computer aided drafting and 3D design. I love to be out in nature. My favorite thing to do in the summer is to go motorcycling in the Wasatch mounains behind my home. Being surrounded by nature is one of the ways that I can appreciate Heavenly Father's eye for art. In the winter, I like to go snowboarding with my brother and friends. Noting too competitive, but we keep it fun. When at home, I love to "jam" on my guitar and try to write some songs. So far, nothing sucessful. I have a family of 6. My parents, me, and my younger brother and two younger sisters. My brother is the reason that I started playing the guitar. My sisters are gymnasts and, in my biased opinion, they are the greatest!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, but that's not the reason I'm a member. I am a member of this church because I believe with all my heart that it is true. As members, we are continually challenged to read from the Book of Mormon and pray for continual re-confermation. I think that I am a member of this church because I have seen how the Savior has blessed me. My family isn't by any means "rich" monitarily, but I think that we are "rich in spirit." There have been many times where my parents didn't think that they could make ends meet, but as we had faith in the Lord, and attended our meetings on Sunday, we were able to fill in the gaps and build our faith. I can testify that our Savior, Jesus Christ lives. He stands on the right hand of God and governs the church. I know that Joseph Smith was called to restore the church again to the earth. I know that we have a prophet that leads and guides our church and recieves revelation from God.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving the Lord. I am 20 some-odd months into my 24 month mission and am loving every second of it. I have had an opportunity to be a hometeaching companion where we visit the homes of members of our church and have a gospel-related discussion for about an hour. We also are able to friendship them and help them with any service they need.
