Hi I'm Paige

I love to teach. I love to play. Most importantly, I love being a Mormon.

About Me

I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints since November 2008. I was born into a rough family. When I was a baby my parents were arrested and sent to jail for drug abuse. At the age of two I was no longer with my parents, but being raised by my grandparents. I have high ambitions. I am a first generation college student working on my Bachelors degree in Elementary Education. Eventually, I will have my own school. Someday I will help the lost and show them the future they can have. You can have whatever you work for. You determine your own destiny. I love to teach. I love to play. Most importantly, I love being Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up, I knew something was missing. I had a whole in my life that nothing could fill. I tried find comfort in the world with it's drugs and alcohol as so many people do. That's is what everybody else thinks is fun, so it must be fun. I thought that would make me happy. I never could fill that hole until I found the Gospel Of Jesus Christ. I had been to all of the churches in my town. Baptist, Catholic, Lutheran, Non-denominational, Church of Christ, etc and none of them made me happy like I was hoping. My conversion story starts like so many others. I had a Mormon friend who gave me the Book of Mormon. I began to read the book that had been given to me that very night. I had read 1Nephi Chapter 2 before bed, prayed for the first time in years, and then fallen asleep. That night I had a dream that I had to leave everything I owned behind, leave my home and friends, and I could only take a few things with me. One very important thing that I decided that take was the Book of Mormon. I woke up and I knew that book was true. I knew that the Book of Mormon had the answers I was searching for. I took the lessons from the missionaries and everything they taught me made perfect sense. Every question that I had left every other church with was answered and all the pieces of the puzzle were coming together. Most importantly, I began to feel happy. I was effortlessly happy and it had been so long since I was happy that I was surprised how light I felt. The gospel of Jesus Christ changed my life. It saved my life. This is the true church and I can only say because I know. I don't have a belief in the Mormon Church, and it's doctrines. I have a knowledge of the Mormon Church and it's doctrines. I know this church it true because I prayed to know. "Ask and ye shall receive, knock and it shall be opened unto you"

How I live my faith

I love church! I love being able to help and serve others. I strive to live my life to help others on a daily basis. My favorite part about being a Latter Day Saint is that it helps me to come closer to Christ and my Father in Heaven. I learn the principles of the Bible and the Book of Mormon. I study the scriptures daily to learn the teachings of Christ and I pray for guidance from my Father in Heaven. Faith is not a noun. It is an action verb. I am constantly doing, striving, and progressing what I know Heavenly Father needs me to and what Christ spent His life on this earth teaching me to. My goal is to be perfect like Christ. I want to always give of myself to others, be selfless, be patient, kind, caring, long suffering, faithful, diligent, and every other attribute that seems impossible to gain. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. I can do all things by being exactly obedient to His gospel, and while I may never reach the goal of being perfect in this life I know I am coming closer to it everyday and my Savior and Father in Heaven will be proud of the efforts I have given in this life.

Why are Mormons asked to donate 10% of their income to their Church?

Tithing is a divine gift. We have the ability to give our tithing to help our brothers and sisters around the world. God doesn't need our money, it is simply the spirit of obedience. We use tithes to further the work of the gospel all over the world. The blessings we gain from paying tithing will far outweigh the cost of giving them. I have never had to worry about paying a bill in my most financially stressing times because the Lord blesses my money to stretch. I know that's because I make it a priority to always pay my tithing. The Lord blesses us when we are obedient and have faith in Him. Show more Show less
