Hi I'm Cristiano

I'm from Sicily Italy, lived in Tennessee. I love soccer, working out, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Cristiano, and I am a convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I served as a Missionary in the Idaho Boise Mission. I am planning to play professional soccer when I go home or play for BYU Provo whatever happens first. I love working out and outdoor activities specially surfing. I love dancing and listening to music.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up catholic because of my parents and family, never really went to church other than special occasions. I knew that there was a God, but didn't really knew anything about Him. I moved to the United States when I was 15 years old and started high school right away. In school I met one of my best friends and to my surprise he was a LDS memeber. We became friends right away and he was always there to help me no matter what. I started to look for a religion and decided to give it a try to all religions, and so I did I went to as many churches as I could with friends or people that I meet in school. After meeting with a lot of religious leaders and asking all kinds of questions, and geting all kinds of answers nothing made sense to me so I decided to quit religion. Years later I wasn't doing the best things I could be doing and my friend that was always there for me invited me to go to a church dance, I was excited at first I love dancing but when we got to the church building he explained a couple of the rules that they had, and honestly I wasnt very happy to hear those rule, but to my surprise I had so much fun and I was happy the whole time, which caught my attention because everybody was nice, happy, and having a great time without having all those bad things that people think they need to have fun. After the dance my friend invited me to go to church with him and his family, I said yes, went home and got ready for the next day. From the first moment I enter into the LDS church I felt something that I never feel before. Happiness overcame and I didn't know what it was. After church was done I had a million questions which my friend was very excited to introduce me to the Sister Missionaries. After 3 months of taking the lessons and learning a lot of new things about the church, and after having the Sister Missionaries asked me to pray to know if what they were teaching was true and always putting it aside, one day after a soccer game I decided to pray because I needed to know if all the things I learned and I felt good, and were making me changed were true, because either there are true or there are not, I kneel down in my room and offer a really sincere pray to our Heavenly Father desiring to know the true, I got an answer and until this day I know with the sincerety of my heart that Joseph Smith was a true prophet called by Heavenly Father to restored His church on the earth once again, I know that Jesus Christ came to this world to paid for our sins and to feel how the rest of human kind would feel. I know that He lives and that we can get closer to Him by obeying the commandments to the best of our abilities and by seraching Him through prayers, scripture studying, work on our Christlike attributes, and by going to church, I know that this is the true Church with full Priesthood Authority on the earth, I know the Book of Mormon is true and testyfies of Jesus Christ, and I know that God loves all His children, and I know that He will answer all our questions if we sincerely ask Him.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying my best to help other people, being nice to friends, family and neighboors. I served as a missionary for the church and I tried to invited everyone to know more about Jesus Christ, and did a lot of service for people which helped me a lot to learned more things and become closer to Jesus Christ.

Are Mormons Christians?

Yes we are Christians, we believe that Jesus Christ came to the earth to establish his gospel and save us from sin by going through the Atonement, we believe that he died in the cross for each one of us so we can repent and be forgiving of our sins, and we believe that he was resurrected at the third day and that He lives with our Heavenly Father, and that He will come again one day.  Show more Show less

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Interesting question, every single thing that we learn and we want to know if its true we ask to wherever the source of the information came from, if we want to know if the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the true church of Heavenly Father establish today well we have to ask him if thats true so through pray we can know the true of all things because he can not lie.
