Hi I'm Annelisa

Word that describe me - practical, frugal, and adventure enthusiast. I'm happy to be a Mormon.

About Me

I hold my family at the top of my priorites list. I value education and have graduated as a Dental Assistant. I don't know why I have a fascination with teeth but its fun for me. The activities that I love include- riding horses, hiking, swimming, mostly outdoor activities.

Why I am a Mormon

I am not ashamed to say that I am Mormon. Growing up, I have treasured my membership in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I am a Mormon because  I know that God, our Heavenly Father has a plan for each one of us. We are all Children of God. He knows each and everyone of us right down to the finest detail. Heavenly Father wants us to be happy. He has provided a way for us all to have everlasting happiness. I know that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

How I live my faith

Living by example goes a long way. Actions speak louder than words. Each day I study the scriptures to help me understand how I can be a better person. How I can be a better neightbor, sister, and friend.

What is the Book of Mormon?

Annelisa
The Book of Mormon testifies of Jesus Christ. Similar to the Bible, it gives us direction to our life. The Book of Mormon and the Bible go hand in hand. It's a great blessing to our lives when we read, ponder, and pray about the Book of Mormon. Near the end of the Book of Mormon the prophet, Mornoni invites all men to pray about the Book of Mormon. "And when ye shall recieve these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are true and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, ahving faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost. And by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things." This is a powerful promise. I know that as we take this challenge, our prayers will be answered by the sweet feelings of the Holy Ghost. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God. Show more Show less

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Annelisa
The Atonement is the greatest act of love in all of history. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16, KJV Holy Bible) The Atonement is made up in 3 major components. One, Jesus Christ willingly suffered in a private place called the Garden of Gethsemane. He felt all of our pains, sicknesses, afflictions, temptations, and sins. Second, he died on the cross, ending his mortal life. Third, he rose from the dead and thus is perfectly resurrected. This is where the body and spirit is reunited and will never be separated again. Indeed death, is not the end. Because standards of morale and wholesome media are declining, we need a Savior who is Jesus Christ to atone for our sins. "For it is expedient that there should be a great and last sacrifice; yea, not a sacrifice of man, neither of any manner of fowl; for it shall not be a human sacrifice; but it must be an infinite and eternal sacrifice." (Alma 34:10, Book of Mormon) The Atonement is for everyone! The Atonement leads to honest repentance of our sins and painful regrets. If we allow Jesus Christ to be a part of our lives, and accept the Atonement; we can feel peace, happiness, and complete forgiveness. Show more Show less
