Hi I'm Hollie

I grew up in Utah. I'm a wife and a mom. I'm a certified fitness trainer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 27, married to the most wonderful guy for almost 4 years now. We just had a baby boy a few months ago and I am loving life. My husband is in dental school and getting ready to graduate in a few months. After he graduates he'll work for the United States Air Force as a dentist for 5 years. Then after that, who knows what and where we'll be. We're very excited for what the future holds for us. I am currently a certified fitness trainer and love to exercise. I enjoy running, rock climbing, snowboarding, playing sports and how lame that it might sound for a 27, almost 28 year old to enjoy playing night games. And what I mean by night games like hide n seek tag or steal the flag.  I Love to laugh. Laughing's my favorite thing to do, when you have one of those really great laughs that cause you to cry and you can't catch your breath, that's my favorite. I love watching movies and going out to dinner.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up as a mormon. I've always had a believing heart, but I think I took his church and his gospel for granted though. I didn't fully appreciate the gospel and the Book of Mormon at a young age. Yeah, I went to church every Sunday and went to seminary when I was old enough, and I tried to live the way I know I should have. However, my testimony wasn't as strong as it is today. There comes a point in your life that you need to gain a testimony for yourself and not lean on other testimonies to pull you through. I always tried to surround myself with good friends and good influences. But the thing is, if your not careful and you let yourself slip...you'll start to fall deeper and deeper into someone that you don't want to be, that you never imagined yourself being. I made some incredibly stupid choices in my life that there's not a moment that goes by that I don't regret them. It wasn't until after I got through that dark part of my life, I realized that there is light and hope for someone that goes through any form of sin. My testimony is stronger than it ever has been today. I know that our Heavenly Father and his son Jesus Christ loves us and that are there for us. Heavenly Father hears us and he does answer our prayers. I am a witness to that, I know that Heavenly Father loves me, he has blessed me with a wonderful husband and a beautiful little boy. He continually pours blessings upon me moment after moment of my life. I know that he trusts me to give me those blessings. The key point is that I try to keep his commandments. I try to live my life as Christ did. I look at the example that he left for us and try to imagine that if he was standing right next to me, would I be doing the things that he would like me to be doing. I believe in his gospel and love it with all my heart. I know that it is true. It just makes complete sense to me. I have had many times where the Holy Ghost has confirmed that truth to me. I love reading the Book of Mormon and having verses pop out at me and confirm what I know to be true. I love Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. That is why I am a mormon.

How I live my faith

My husband and I say prayers together and we also have our personal prayers that we do separately and I try to pray every chance I can get some days.  I try to go to church every Sunday. I try to read the Book of Mormon everyday. In my ward, I have a calling as a Provident Living Co-Chair. Which means I help plan events from anything like preparing for emergencies, how to can jam and peaches, and learning how to coupon, just to name a few. I also have a visiting teaching calling to visit a few ladies in our ward. We have a message that we read out of the Church's magazine, the Ensign. They're really great uplifting messages that just help us in our day to day lives.
