Hi I'm Nathan

I grew up in the South. I study microbiology.

About Me

I grew up in Louisiana and Texas. I recently got married to my best friend of several years. I am a graduate student in Michigan studying microbiology, especially how bacteria and people interact on a daily basis. When I'm not working, I like to read, eat, and play racquetball and board games. I have a deep belief in God and know that He gives answers to prayers.

Why I am a Mormon

I have often seen God's hand in my life. As I pray and talk to Him about what is going on in my life, I get inspiration to know what I need to do.

How I live my faith

How do I live my faith? I go to church, read the scriptures, pray, try to be a good person every day...that's what I do! A significant part of our faith is service to others. I visit others from church to make sure they're doing well, and share a spiritual message with them. Sometimes I think I am benefited even more than they are. I also get to help teach the 2 year old kids in our congregation, which is really fun! The simple lessons (God loves us, we should be nice to others) that we learn there are applicable to everybody. My wife and I also try to find ways that we can help people that are having a bad day, or that might need something that they can't do for themselves. We all need a hand once in a while.
