Hi I'm Megan

I'm loud and I'm Mormon

About Me

Hi! I am Megan. I was born and raised near Portland, Oregon. In high school I became a cheerleader and that is where I learned of my talent to be loud. I love to scream and have fun and try new things. I studied interior design at BYU-idaho for several years before serving a mission in Washington DC. While there I fell in love with the African culture. Once my funds permit I am going to go there. Right now I am Utah going to school for physical education. It has been quite a challenge for me to decide exactly what I want to do with my life. I am interested in everything! I loved studying interior design, but when I got home from my mission I really felt impressed that thats something I should not pursue. As I really prayed about it and conversed with my Father in Heaven I was prompted to move to Utah and live with my sister. I have been through three majors and two different schools, through a long hard process I have decided to study Physical Education.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a happy happy person. I am a believer that being happy is a decision we make. The gospel of Jesus Christ puts life into perspective for me and allows me to be happy even when times are hard. I have been a Mormon my whole life. Went to church every sunday and was taught the gospel from a young age. The moment though when I really started believing was when I was about 12 years old. I was kind of a shy girl and and got embarrassed easily. Really had no confidence in myself. When I was 12, though, I went to a girls camp for our youth group. That week was focused on being children of God. I prayed and prayed to really understand. I thought I was of no worth. I remember sitting around the campfire talking about this and I felt a goosebumps go up and down my spine. It felt as though a warm breeze had come over me. I can't really fully explain what I felt that night but I understood that God loved me and I was His daughter. I know that God still does love me and I am still His daughter.

How I live my faith

My faith is my life. It isn't something that I have to schedule in everyday,...... "oh don't forget to think of Jesus today." It is something that is apart of me. I live my life the way God wants me to live. I do what He wants me to do.

What are Mormon Temples used for?

We build temples so we can become closer to God. On the outside of every temple it says "Holiness to the Lord. House of the Lord." It is His home and we go there to unite ourselves more with Him. Show more Show less
