Hi I'm Alison

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married to a wonderful man named Jeff and we have 5 fabulous children. Our oldest child graduated from BYU-Provo, two of our children are currently serving missions in Colombia and Georgia, one is attending BYU-Idaho and will be serving his mission in Tennessee beginning in May, and our caboose is in third grade. I am currently teaching early morning seminary and my husband is serving as the bishop of our ward. I love sports, camping, shopping, eating, and spending time with family and friends,

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that Jesus Christ lived and lives and is the way to eternal life. I know that Joseph Smith saw our Heavenly Father and his son, Jesus Christ. I know that he also translated the Book of Mormon. I know that the Book of Mormon is another testament of the Savior and that everything in that book really happened and those prophets and great men sacrificed for their beliefs. I know that we have a modern day prophet who receives inspiration for the church and is ordained of God. I know that we have our local leaders who also receive inspiration from God for the organization of the church locally. I love these men and support them. I am a Mormon because I know that by following the principles of the gospel that it is the only way for me and my family to be happy and have the opportunity to be together as a family forever.

How I live my faith

I try to live my life every day as an example of Jesus Christ. I get up at 5:00 every morning during the week to go to the church and teach the youth about the prophets and teachings of the Old Testament. I am very involved in my son's elementary school and I enjoy discussing my children's missions and my early morning teaching of seminary. I enjoy visiting 3 ladies every month who have been assigned to me as their friend and teacher. My responsibility is to make sure that their physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual needs are met. I am involved in our local soccer board. I feel it is important to be involved in the community to represent the Christian beliefs and to make sure we have a voice in a world that wants to promote atheism and as a way out to avoid responsibility for correct choices. I want people to know that I am a member of the church and that I believe in Jesus Christ and a living prophet.
