Hi I'm Emily

I'm Auntie Em, I'm a Sister, I love a lot of things, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am from Alaska. I love to read. I love cats and gnomes. I come from a incredibly large family who I love to the brim, although we are little crazy. I am a little weird and take the word as a compliment. I always have something to say about nothing! Believe me...when I say I am a bit different. Not but 2 years ago I gave up my life to serve a full-time mission. I am grateful for this wonderful opportunity I have had to be a missionary! The love that you can have when doing the Lords work amazed me. I did not know that I could love so many at one time. Thanks to the Savior, I could. He made up when I came short, and he continues to do so. I now am trying to get life going and it proves difficult. I live in the middle of no where. It amazes me when I find people to talk too. I try to keep up my missionary work. I keep myself busy with some books, cooking, pestering my family, up keep, and blogging. I am in the middle of getting back home goals set and getting college under way! I believe that all can be acheived when done through hard effort and prayer. I love life. Even if at times I say otherwise...It will always come back to...Life is good!

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because it brings me Happiness! So much understanding for life comes from living and studying the Gospel of Jesus Christ. When you understand what the Savior truely did for you, everything else falls to second place. I would not be where I am at today with out my parents raising me in the church. With out the values that they taught to me. But it wasn't until some years ago that I really truely was converted to my religion. I tried to live life with out it and I got lost really fast. Being Mormon has taught me the truth that lots look for their entire lives.I worked hard to find the truth and I could have lost it if I wouldn't have acted. I would be a mess with out my faith. It would be like a house with out a roof or a chair with out legs. Non-functional. haha! I believe in God, his son Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost. I believe, so I act on it! I know that the Gospel is true! I can't deny it. The gospel brings Happiness, Joy, and promises from God as we live it! I chose this way because it gives me knowledge and laughter! And I love it!

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith everyday. I want to be an example and friend to everyone. Sometimes I am the exact oppostie but well, we all have those days. I try. That is how I live my faith. I try my hardest to do what I know and feel is right. I study my Savior's life through scripture so that I can more fully be like him. I pray to my Father in Heaven with all my gratitude, questions, and concerns. He can hear me and I know it. I miss days and sometimes maybe even weeks. I forget sometimes what the priorities are. I forget what has been done for me, but God never fails to remind me. I am grateful for what faith I have and am excited for the continual progression that I can make in my Heavenly Fathers plan for me. So how do I live my faith? I try.
