Hi I'm Gary

I grew up in Wendell, Idaho. I have been a contractor, an insurance salesman, worked in construction sales and plumbing services.

About Me

I have enjoyed many outdoor activities throughout my life. Hunting, fishing, mountain biking, snow skiing, running and now my "hobby" passion is golf. I don't play as much as I would like, though enjoy getting out to play with my son-in-laws any time we can. My children have always been my highest priority and I am very grateful to be a father of 7 girls and 1 boy. My greatest joy in life is my family and to be able to be with them doing the things we love. We started a traditional annual trip to Utah over 25 years ago. We ride the Collossus and all the other rides we can squeeze in over a 2 day period at the Lagoon theme park.

Why I am a Mormon

I believe this church is true. I believe this because I believe our Savior Jesus Christ organized it through His gospel plan. We are blessed to have Apostles and Prophets receiving divine guidance; helping us to know more about our Savior and how to follow His teachings. The Book of Mormon which has been called the keystone of our religion, has given me daily guidance and hope. It has helped me to move forward with faith in a world that often presents many challenges. The teachings in it along with the many testimonies of our Savior provide an anchor in my life. I am grateful each day for this book and I hope you too will have the opportunity to read and feel the great message it offers. Family is important to me. I have 8 children and 9 grandchildren. What a blessing they each are in my life. The gospel of Jesus Christ teaches that we will have the opportunity to be with our families throughout eternity. This to me is a wonderful blessing and promise. Families can be together forever.

How I live my faith

As time seems to rush by, I have begun to accept the fact that the person I need to change most in life is myself. There are so many good people in the world that give of their time and talents to help others. I have a desire to improve and do more for those around me. Through the teachings of our Savior and His gospel plan, there is hope for peace and happiness. I find this to be true as I strive to live His teachings.
