Hi I'm Lindsey.

An adventurous spirit living in the south. An admirer of wit. A Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student who has a fierce love for traveling, photography, different cultures, and food. I am currently studying as a magazines & photojournalism major. In my spare time, I enjoy going on photographic adventures, reading National Geographic magazine, and catching up with my family and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it makes sense to me.

How I live my faith

I currently serve as the media specialist of Relief Society. It is a bit of an obscure calling, but I feel as though it was made just for me! I get to be the event photographer and create posts on the blog. I am also in charge of creating and maintaining a current photo directory. In addition, I am a visiting teacher! This means I get to chat with two lovely ladies once a month to check up on them, share a spiritual message, and share a treat and some laughter.

Are Mormons Christians?

Mormons are indeed Christians. We accept Jesus Christ as our Savior and King. We believe Him to be the only perfect, sinless being to have walked the planet. We look to Him as our teacher, our leader, our prime example of love, kindness, and selflessness. We, as Mormons, strive to live in accordance to his teachings. He is our Redeemer. It is only through Him that we will be able to return to live with our Heavenly Father for eternity.    Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?

We believe that we are saved after everything we can do. This means that we must have and exercise our faith. James 217 reads "Even faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone." We do not necessarily believe that "works" means doing good deed all of the time. "Works" simply means living your life to the best of your ability to mirror Christ's. Grace is absolutely necessary for our salvation. We are imperfect beings who will always fall short. Without grace, we would not have the opportunity to dwell with God again. Show more Show less
