Hi I'm Jack

I'm a missionary. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Mormon Missionary serving on the East Coast. I have two wonderful parents who support me and two younger brothers that I love dearly. Aside from missionary work, I love the outdoors, including running, hiking, fishing, skiing, camping, mountain biking, soccer, and more. I love being outside and enjoying the beauty of the Earth. I have been to a year of college and I plan on continuing upon my return. I love figuring things out and doing stuff. I love reading and learning and helping others. I was in the military for one year, and I love the country in which I live.

Why I am a Mormon

When I turned 8 years old, I made the decision with the help of my parents to be baptized a member of the Church. At my baptism I felt the spirit, I felt God's love, and I knew then that the choice I made was the right choice. From then on I continued learning and growing, and I have chosen to live my life in accordance with the truth that God gave me. Since my baptism, the biggest help to me in following His Gospel has been the Book of Mormon. My life has not been a normal life nor has it been a bad one, but through all the trials I have been through knowing that it is true, that the Gospel has been restored upon the Earth, and that God truly does love his childeren has helped me grow tremendously. The Book of Mormon has taught me what that means, it has taught me how to pray, it has taught me how to love others, and I after many prayers over many years I have recieved the same response-yes, it is the word of God. It contains His will. Because of what Jesus Christ did, although I will die, I will live again. Even though I am far from perfect, the Savior can make up the difference. His is my Savior and Redeemer. This means that I have no need to worry about that which I cannot control, about my own imperfections and faults, but that I can feel free to give them up and to control myself. I can give of myself with the assurance that one day I will stand before Him, and I can look forward to that day with a smile. It means that no matter how alone I may feel, the Creator of the Universe knows me. It makes me warm inside. I know that now matter how unfair or unjust or wrong life may be or even seem to be, as I follow the example of Jesus Christ I am happy. These blows are healed. I am made whole, and everyone else who does that will too recieve His help. It is a very humbling and ennobling experience to realize who we really are. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I am a missionary! I live my faith by helping others exercise faith, repent, be baptized, recieve the gift of the Holy Ghost, and endure to the end. I get to talk to people about Jesus Christ all day long, and I love it. I get to share my beliefs and why I believe with others, and I seek to help them enjoy the Gospel and have a sincere love for God and for their fellow man. As a church song for the young childeren says, "I'm trying to be like Jesus."
