Hi I'm Stephen

I'm a bicycle commuting gardener father husband saint.

About Me

As an engineer, I am compelled to work on a computer all day. Cycling an average of 12 miles each day is great fun and exercise. I love the outdoors. I run with my lab-shepherd mix, maintain two bee hives, raise free-range rabbits, and garden year-round. My wife and I have two little children who like to play outside as much as I do, and absolutely love church activities.

Why I am a Mormon

My Christian faith stagnated as I grudgingly attended church on Sundays, and it seemed there was nothing new even at all the different churches I’ve visited. I wondered why different denominations disagree about different bible doctrines, and how come there has been no prophet for 2000 years to update the message for modern times. Thankfully, the missionaries found me and introduced me to the True Church, and the Good Lord has blessed my life immensely. I read the scriptures and know they are true. Church service has become a paramount part of my life! Righteous living is most rewarding.

How I live my faith

In our church and local community I volunteer to help as much as possible. I find joy in serving others by lifting heavy boxes for old ladies, landscaping, painting over graffiti, and sharing the gospel which blesses everyone. I keep myself clean, honest, and trustworthy, and genuinely seek to make the world around me a better place.

What is the Word of Wisdom that Mormons talk about?

A body is a vessel for the spirit. In order for the Holy Spirit to dwell within us, we must be clean and worthy. My body is a temple, and I make sure it stays very well maintained. Healthy living continuously invites God to lead and guide me in paths of righteousness all the days of my life. Show more Show less
