Hi I'm Clark

I am a husband, father of 5 redheads (3 boys, 2 girls) and an electrical engineer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

The best thing in my life is my wonderful wife and 5 kids. Having a large family is both exhausting and exhilarating. To help the "exhilarating" part outweigh the "exhausting" part, my wife and I have learned to laugh at the antics of all our kids. I also have a great work life. I received a PhD in Electrical Engineering on the west coast and now live out in Ohio for work. I do research in electrical engineering and love what I do. While I love basketball and ultimate frisbee, these have fallen to the back-burner with the other things listed above taking all available time. Life is good when you are busy though.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents were both Mormon, so I was raised as a Mormon. I wanted to know for myself though if the Book of Mormon was true. So, I started reading it in my early teens. It took me 2-3 years before I decided that I knew it was true. I noticed that on the days I read, I had more inner peace, I was less upset with other people, and was just generally more the person I wanted to be. The days I didn't read, something was missing. After seeing this happen again and again, I realized the book was true. Everything about the Church follows from that.

How I live my faith

The most important way I _try_ to live my faith is by being a good husband and father. As you can imagine, with five (young) kids in one house and the constant friction that involves, sometimes I am more Christ-like than others. I am always trying to improve though. I also try to be honest in my work and make sure I am a good employee. Finally, the Church gives me the opportunity and excuse to go out and visit other people in my community and serve them when I can.
