Hi I'm Cristee

I'm a Mom, a wife, a sister, a friend, a volunteer, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was raised LDS. My husband is not a member, however, he supports my beliefs and our children are being raised LDS. I get to stay at home and raise our children. I like to volunteer at the school and serve at my church calling.

Why I am a Mormon

I have a strong, yet simple testimony of the truth the gospel of Jesus Christ brings to my life. From an early age I have known that what I learn at church is correct and by following the example of Christ and the teachings of His gospel, I can be happy in my life. I have not always been diligent in keeping with what is correct in my life, but I believe that the experiences I have had, good and bad, have helped my knowledge of how true the LDS church is. The emphasis the church puts on family and loving, eternal relationships, is an anchor in my life. To know that a loving Father in Heaven is patiently waiting for me to return to Him and that my brother, Jesus Christ, died so that I can repent of wrong doings and be forgiven, and be free to forgive others, is a humbling thought. I have a knowledge of the power of sincere prayer and have had the witness of the Holy Ghost testify to me that what I believe and what the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints teaches is the true gospel of our Heavenly Father and His Son.

How I live my faith

My church calling, right now, is Visiting Teaching Coordinator. It's my opportunity to organize the women in our ward in the monthly visits and communication we try to share. Visiting Teaching gives the women in our ward the blessings of friendship and fellowship and also helps meet the needs of our families by serving and loving others. When we visit with the other sisters in the ward we can talk of our shared beliefs, our struggles and our triumphs. It is wonderful to know that there are others going through the same things you are on a dailly basis and the different ways we all progress through our lives. I also volunteer at the elementary school in my neighborhood. It is fun to have the children recognize you and say "hello" when they see you. It is so fun to watch children learn and grow. It is important to me that our children know they are loved and thought of often. My own children are my main focus. It is so vital, to me, that my children are raised with good moral standards and a feeling of self-worth. I am not perfect at all, but I want my children to grow knowing that they are loved and that they are strong and can accomplish whatever it is they what to do; that living a Christ centered life will give them the courage, peace, and happiness they need to 'get it done'.
