Hi I'm Everett Lando Smith

I love being a Mormon and I live to serve our heavenly father.

About Me

Well, I was baptized on June 11th 2010.That is right I am new but you know what, I have loved every minute of it.I am 29 years old.My family wasn't really the church going type so i really never had God in my life. But, one day I was walking to vent off some steam and I did what one of my friends suggested and that was to pray, so I did. Then two days later I get a knock on my door and it was the elders. So, ever since I have been living my life the best way that i can.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because through the book of Mormon I have been pulled out of so many ruts and I even have tried to leave because i was just so confused and felt so lost. But, I still prayed and I asked or Lord or a sign and direction on where he wanted me and not even 24 hours I run into some members of the priesthood and the missionaries. Then that following Sunday i went to church and the love and peace i felt was so over whelming. So, how can that not be real.

How I live my faith

I live my life to the best that I can and yes sometimes its hard but when I start to feel down or like I am about to lose it I pray and I feel the love of God.Then, I was giving the calling of a ward missionary so when I can I take every chance to go out with the Elders and help spread the word of Gods word.

What is the Law of Chastity?

Everett Lando Smith
According to the church, chastity means abstinence from sexual relations before marriage, and complete fidelity to one's husband or wife during marriage. As part of the law of chastity, the church teaches its members not only to abstain from adultery and fornication, but also to refrain from masturbation and to avoid sexually inappropriate thoughts. The law of chastity is taught to church members of all ages, being introduced simply to young children, and especially emphasized to adolescents. Show more Show less
