Hi I'm Jeff

My wife, Laurie, and I have been married for 32 years. We have raised four children and are now empty-nesters. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I live in Colorado and love to fly fish and explore the mountains. We lived in Chicago for several years where I attended the University of Chicago's Graduate School of Business and then worked in the financial services industry. I'm currently a product manager for an investment services firm. My wife and I have four wonderful children and two granddaughters that we adore.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints all my life, but didn't come to understand how much it had to offer until I was a senior in high school. I felt that there was something missing in my life; I wasn't active in the church at the time and started to feel a desire to find out about Jesus Christ and His Gospel. I started reading the New Testament and the Book of Mormon and praying for guidance. The more I read and prayed, the more excited I became about what I was learning and feeling. I started to attend church again and came to know that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and my Savior. The peace and happiness that came into my life at that time made me want to share what I had found with others. As a result, I spent two years serving as a missionary for the Church so I could share the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ with others. The Church and its teachings have helped me be a better husband and father and have helped my wife and I raise happy children with strong moral values.

How I live my faith

I have tried to live my faith by teaching my children about their Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ, and how to find happiness by following Christ's teachings and example. I have worked extensively with the youth in our church, have taught classes on Sundays and I currently visit the elderly members of our congregation on a regular basis.

Are Mormons Christians?

Jeff
I find it interesting that some people don't know that Mormons are Christians. We are absolutely Christians! In fact, the official name of our church is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and we also believe in a volume of scripture called "The Book of Mormon - Another Testament of Jesus Christ." The Book of Mormon, like the Bible, testifies that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, that he lived a perfect life and that he died for us and was resurrected so that we can return to live with Him and our Heavenly Father. We try to follow His teachings to love others and treat all people as brothers and sisters. Show more Show less
