Hi I'm Nikki

I am a designer, a mother, and a wife. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college graduate, a graphic designer, an aspiring blogger, the wife of the most amazing man ever, and a mother to my perfect daughter. I am a loyal sister to my 7 siblings and I absolutely love family time. I enjoy cooking, decorating, graphic design, and I am a sports fanatic. I also have a passion for writing music, singing, and playing guitar. My greatest hope is to someday have my children become honest, grateful, devoted to the gospel, and happy to be alive.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe the gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored to the earth through a living prophet. I have read the Book of Mormon over 50 times and every time I read it, I come closer to the Savior. I have prayed over and over again, and receive witnesses of the truth daily. I know I am a daughter of God and I know He loves me and understands me. The gospel has taught me to be positive, hopeful, and happy. I have learned about forgiveness, repentance, faith, covenants, and eternity. Through the restored gospel, I know that my husband and I can be together forever--our amazing relationship never has to end it can always get better and always continue. I have a testimony that Jesus Christ atoned for the sins of the world and He suffered all things so that He can stand by us and say, "I know what that feels like, and I'm here for you." I know that all of these things are true because of the power of the Holy Ghost, and I am led daily to do the things of the Lord because of the Holy Spirit's influence. I would sacrifice anything and everything to help others come to this same knowledge so that they can have the peace I feel.

How I live my faith

I served a mission for the LDS church and went door-to-door every day teaching individuals and families about the Plan of Salvation, the restored gospel of Jesus Christ, and the miracle of faith. I study the scriptures, both the Bible and the Book of Mormon, every day and I consistently set goals to improve my life. I strive to live all the commandments by obeying the covenants I have made through baptism and in the holy temples. My husband and I pray together and as individuals multiple times a day and we seek to answer the prayers of others. I try to serve every person I come in contact with, either by a simple smile, offering a ride, or tending for their illnesses. It is easy to live something you believe in and love so much---there is great joy to be found in a life that is centered on the Savior Jesus Christ, and He is the perfect example to follow.

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

Mormon women are highly regarded and respected in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We are created equal to men, but are often given different responsibilities. Women are most certainly able to hold some callings in the Church, giving us the opportunity to grow and learn as we serve others. Our callings and responsibilities are catered towards our nature as women, to be compassionate, tender, gentle, loving, and unselfish. We are encouraged to find our divine potential as women, and we can have an influence for good in the Church, in our homes, and in our communities. Show more Show less
